چکیده

Rhizome growth and development is regulated by phytohormone. However, endogenous phytohormones affect rhizome initiation, sustained in perennial grass species remains elusive. In this study, we investigated the morphological characteristics content of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), zeatin (ZT), gibberellic (GA3), abscisic (ABA) rhizomes two different Kentucky bluegrass. Using ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS), performed metabolite analysis rhizomes. our multi-rhizome bluegrass material ‘Yuzhong’ had an average 1113 rhizomes, while few-rhizome ‘Anding’ 347 The diameter length internode were 1.68-fold 1.33-fold higher than that ‘Anding’, respectively. dry weight was 75.06 g, 20.79 g. a ZT (5.50 μg·g−1), which 2.4-fold (2.27 μg·g−1). contrast, IAA, ABA, GA3 markedly ‘Yuzhong’. Correlation revealed significant correlations between ZT/ABA with number rhizome, internode, whereas GA3, IAA/ZT opposite. metabolic profiles, identified 163 differentially expressed metabolites (DEMs) (60 upregulated 103 downregulated) positive ion mode 75 DEMs (36 39 negative mode. Histidine metabolism ABC transporters pathways most significantly enriched mode, respectively, both are involved synthesis transport cytokinin. These results indicate cytokinin crucial for promotes germination

Effect of Azoxystrobin on Dollar Spot Disease Development in Creeping Bentgrass (agrostis Stolonifera) and Kentucky Bluegrass (poa Pratensis)

Dollar spot disease, caused by the fungus Sclerotinia homoeocarpa F.T. Bennett is common on intensively managed creeping bentgrass (Agrostis stolonifera L.) and annual bluegrass (Poa annua L.), and other turfgrasses. Frequent chemical applications during the growing season are made to control this disease. Previous observations state that application of fungicides such as azoxystrobin can incre...

Inhibition of Drought Stress Using Folic Acid in Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) under in vitro culture

Considering the high water requirement of grass during growth stages and the limitation of irrigation sources, it is important to find a suitable way to reduce the water requirement of the lawns as cover plants used in the Landscape. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 2,4,5-T on the induction of callus from the hypocotyl explant in Kentucky bluegrass, induce in vitro dro...

Fall Armyworm (lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Resistance in Texas Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, and Their Hybrids ( Poa Spp.)

The fall armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a destructive pest of many species of both C3 and C4 (cooland warm-season) turfgrass. No-choice experiments were conducted to evaluate 13 turfgrass genotypes of various Poa spp. for susceptibility or resistance to the fall armyworm. All 13 genotypes, including 8 Texas bluegrass ( Poa arachnifera Torr.), 2 Kentuck...

Selection of Candidate Reference Genes for Gene Expression Analysis in Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) under Abiotic Stress

Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) belong to Gramineae and is widely used in lawns, golf courses, landscapes, and sport fields as a prominent cool-season grass. Gene expression patterns during different stages of plant development can provide clues toward the understanding of its biological functions. The selection and validation of reference genes are the first steps in any real-time quanti...

a study of morphological, physiological and biochemical responses of poa pratensis l. (kentucky bluegrass) cv. ’barimpala‘ to drought stress conditions

drought stress is one of the phenomena that adversely affects growth and quality of plants, with turfgrass being no exception. for a study of the responses of poa pratensis l. cv. ’barimpala‘ to time periods of drought stress, turfgrass seeds were cultivated at 60cm depths in cylindrical pots of 15cm diameters and placed outdoors. plants were daily irrigated to the point until drainage occurred...
